Gaël Haas joined Lausanne HC's youth department four years ago after taking his first steps on the ice with Yverdon-les-Bains. He has since matured enough to make his debut in the National League at the age of 17. This has earned Haas his first professional contract with the Lions, valid until 2028.

"Gaël is ahead of his time and has proved that we can count on him", team manager John Fust notes. "We are fortunate to be able to reap the rewards of the efforts made by the LHC Academy over many seasons to create an almost direct bridge between the first team and our U20."

So far this season, Haas has been in Lausanne's lineup 13 times, although only seeing a total of eleven minutes of ice time overall.
