First pro contract for Niklas Blessing with EHC Biel

A homegrown product, Niklas Blessing split time with EHC Biel, EHC Olten, and the U20 squad of the Seeländer this season, gathering important ice time and experience for his development: "Niklas has shown impressive development in recent years. He brings a lot of talent, commitment and intelligence to the game. We are convinced that he will make his way in the National League," states team manager Martin Steinegger.

In 31 games with EHC Biel, Blessing put up five assists, while with EHC Olten in the Swiss League, the youngster scored the first goal of his professional career. Last year, he was a member of the Swiss national team that participated in the U18 World Championship.
