According to the Czech sports website iSport.cz, among the European clubs interested in Daniel Voženílek, EV Zug is a serious contender. For the upcoming season, the Bulls have one more spot to fill with an import, having already three defenders and two forwards under contract.
Voženílek, 28, has been with HC Oceláři Třinec since 2022 and has a contract with them valid until 2027. A possible move to EV Zug would be facilitated by an out-clause in the contract. However, it is not clear whether such a clause is present. Otherwise, as iSport.cz writes, Zug would have to come to an agreement with Třinec, which might not be easy.
This past season, Voženílek scored 25 goals and collected 32 assists in 71 Extraliga games, winning the championship. The previous season, he also won the Czech championship, receiving the award for playoffs MVP. Internationally, he won the gold medal a few weeks ago at the World Championship.
