Four days after bidding farewell to Ewan Huet, EHC Kloten has found in Santo Simmchen their new third goalie. The former netminder of HC La Chaux-de-Fonds has signed a one-year deal with EHCK. As part of the long-standing partnership with HC Thurgau, which has been extended for an additional year, Simmchen will mainly play in the Swiss League.
This past season, the Swiss-German appeared in 14 games with HC La Chaux-de-Fonds, posting a save percentage of .868.
