After a review of the current season, EHC Biel's board of directors as well as the sportive leadership have decided to relieve Martin Filander of his duties effective immediately as, "despite some positive developments, the desired overall sporting progress could not be achieved."
The Swede has been coaching the Seelanders since the 2024-25 season. EHC Biel is currently on eleventh place in the standings and has collected 51 points in 41 games.
