Earlier today, HC Lugano announced an extension for Mirco Müller. Still with a contract valid until next summer, the 31-year-old defenseman is set to suit up for the National League club until 2032.

"Mirco is a key part of our defensive core and one of the best defensive players in the entire National League", team manager Janick Steinmann notes. "Over the past season, he has shown night after night just how important he is to our team. I am thrilled that he has decided to stay with us for many more years, demonstrating his confidence in what we are building together."

Since his return to Switzerland in 2021, Müller has only ever played for the Bianconeri. Over that period, he collected 267 appearances. This past season has been his most productive points-wise, recording three goals and 16 assists in 50 games.
