As the "Tages-Anzeiger" reports, Derek Grant would like to stay with the ZSC Lions and is trying to showcase his skills to get a contract extension. Grant, who has appeared in 16 games this season (seven goals, seven assists), has been playing for the Lions since 2023. He has won two championship titles (2024,2025) as well as the Champions Hockey League during his time in Zürich.

The newspaper also reports that the Lions would like to start the next season with seven import players. They currently already have five import players under contract: Malte Strömwall, Simon Hrubec, Mikko Lehtonen, Jesper Fröden, and Rudolfs Balcers.

Furthermore, the newspaper speculates that a return of Juho Lammikko might become a point of discussion again. The 29-year-old Finn is currently playing for the New Jersey Devils, but has not played a lot.
