As the "Neue Zürcher Zeitung" reports, Denis Hollenstein was informed several months ago that he would not receive a new contract from the ZSC Lions. Whether this also means that he will retire after this season remains to be seen.

"If something else comes up, I’ll take a look at it. These might be my last playoffs. That’s why I’m soaking it all in and enjoying being part of it once again,” Denis Hollenstein tells the newspaper.

Hollenstein has been with the Lions for the past eight seasons. Before that, he suited up for EHC Kloten for eight seasons, except for the 2013-14 season, when he played for Genève-Servette HC. This season, he has recorded five goals and three assists in 29 regular-season games. He has added one assist to his tally in the playoffs.
