Dave Sutter will indeed leave HC Fribourg-Gottéron

"There are certain things I would like to do in my career. And as I saw the years pass by, I told myself that this is the moment [to make some changes]," Dave Sutter tells "La Liberté". "I want to finish on a good note by going as far as possible in all three competitions we are playing in this season."

Asked whether HC Fribourg-Gottéron would trade Sutter in the middle of the season, as it is already clear that he will not stay, team manager Gerd Zenhäusern said that such a scenario is currently not on the table.

"Blick" reported last week that the defenseman will join Genève-Servette HC next season. While Sutter did confirm his departure, he did not reveal the name of his new employer.
