Niko Huuhtanen will join EHC Biel effective immediately. The Finn started the season with the Syracuse Crunch in the AHL, but was then sent to the ECHL in late November. On December 2, the Tampa Bay Lightning and the forward parted ways.
Huuhtanen played his first professional games for Jukerit. In 2024, he then moved to North America and suited up in 51 games for Syracuse. This season, he recorded three assists in five games for them.
