As anticipated by Klaus Zaugg ("Watson"), the 37-year-old Canadian and the Biancoblù will part ways.

HC Ambrì-Piotta and Chris DiDomenico have mutually agreed to terminate their working agreement due to different views regarding the "operative priorities", as HCAP discloses in its press release.

Zaugg reported today that DiDomenico would soon leave the team. Apparently, the club tried to find a trading partner in the last few deals to facilitate a transfer to a Swiss League or National League team. The Straubing Tigers (DEL) and HC Bozen (ICE HL) were also potential destinations, but nothing came of it. Bozen was, according to Zaugg, vetoed by DiDomenico.

The Canadian has been playing for HC Ambrì-Piotta since October 2024. This season, he recorded 41 points for the Biancoblù (ten goals) and was thus the team's leading scorer.
