Biel loans Mattheo Reinhard to the Snakes, Haas and Bärtschi still recovering

With the exception of Mattheo Reinhard, who has been loaned on a B-license to the Bellinzona Snakes in the Swiss League, and the injured Viktor Lööv, who is still under contract with the Seeländer but whose return to hockey remains uncertain, EHC Biel was at full strength yesterday, the "Journal du Jura" writes.

Nonetheless, a few players had to participate with caution, including Gaëtan Haas, who skated without a distinctive jersey but with a tinted visor to reduce the effects of light. “My teammates know that they still have to take it easy with me and not put too much pressure on me,” Haas states. “I have a few appointments in August that will give me more information. From there, if everything is in order and I can gradually increase the load without any problems, we'll take stock again. But for now, there is no set date for my return to play. I'm continuing to take it step by step,” concludes the captain of EHC Biel.

Jérémie Bärtschi, too, is recovering from a long-term injury and surgery to the shoulder and the wrist, but he is feeling almost ready: “It's not quite optimal yet, especially in terms of how my wrist feels, but it's coming along very well,” he explains. “At this stage, I can almost play normally.” Bärtschi will thus probably be able to suit up in the preseason at a certain point.
