“Let's see, anything is possible, the season is still in its early stages and it's too soon to say anything” states André Rufener to Klaus Zaugg. The journalist, however, identifies three possible solutions for Philip Wüthrich: an extension with SC Bern, or a move either to HC Ambrì-Piotta or the SCL Tigers.
In his analysis, Zaugg speculates that if SC Bern would like to keep Wüthrich around, they would have to abandon the strategy of relying on an import netminder. Otherwise, the 27-year-old could decide to move to a club where he could get the chance to be the first choice, for instance HC Ambrì-Piotta or the SCL Tigers. The contract of Swedish goalie Adam Reideborn with the Bears expires next spring.
HCAP's head coach Luca Cereda told Zaugg that Wüthrich would be a very interesting goaltender for them. With Wüthrich they could let Finnish goalie Janne Juvonen go and create a Swiss duo with Gilles Senn. For their part, the SCL Tigers have to find a replacement for Stéphane Charlin, who is rumored to return to Genève-Servette HC.
