Since 2020, Stefan Rüegsegger has mostly suited up in the Swiss League, first with SC Langenthal and then with HC La Chaux-de-Fonds. That is going to change during the summer of 2026, with the move to Lausanne HC. The Lions and Rüegsegger have reached an agreement for a two-year deal. The big forward already suited up for LHC on a few occasions.
Team manager John Fust praises the latest acquisition for the intensity in his game: “Stefan brings intensity and consistency that perfectly match what we are looking for. He is a reliable, competitive player who plays for the team and never hesitates to put in the effort. He will strengthen our offensive depth and our playing identity."
This season, he appeared in all 27 games of La Chaux-de-Fonds, scoring eleven goals (top scorer of the team) and recording nine assists.
