National League

To compensate for injury-related absences, the National League team has taken on another import forward.

A new teammate for the Tigers

Cal O'Reilly joins the SCL Tigers on a short-term contract until the end of October, with the option to extend his stay. Last seen wearing a Milwaukee Admirals jersey, the 38-year-old brings along a lot of experience, with over a thousand games in the AHL and 145 in the NHL.

The Canadian has been signed to compensate for the absences of Swede André Petersson and Flavio Schmutz, who are out due to injuries. As the club notes, he is already arriving in Langnau today.

On a sidenote, Cal is the older brother of Ryan O'Reilly, a former Stanley Cup champion, very seasoned NHL player, and current teammate of Roman Josi in Nashville.
