The National League club released a statement, noting that signing a player already under contract somewhere else is not legal.

Yesterday, "RSI" wrote that a reunion between HC Ambrì-Piotta and Michael Fora is very close. Following that, the Biancoblù felt the need to inform the public today that they are, in fact, not allowed to sign someone to a contract when said player is already tied to another club.
Fora is halfway through his four-year contract with HC Davos. Besides half a season in North America, the defenseman previously spent all of his professional career with Ambrì.
