In November of 2022, Léo Braillard left EHC Biel's U20 to join the QMJHL's Shawinigan Cataractes. A year later, he was claimed off waivers by the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Now he is returning to Biel with a contract valid for the 2025-26 season.

The now 20-year-old became a member of Biel's youth department in 2018 and rose through the ranks up to the U20 there. Since the 2020-21 season, the forward has also regularly represented the Swiss national team on various junior levels.

Overseas, Braillard made 53 games for Shawinigan, recording eleven goals and 16 assists. Later, he appeared 107 times as a Hurricane, putting up 43 goals and 45 assists.
