For the fourth and last week of preparation ahead of the World Championship in Sweden and Denmark, several players have been called up from the two finalists of the National League: defensemen Dean Kukan and Christian Marti as well as forwards Sven Andrighetto, Nicolas Baechler, and Denis Malgin, from the newly crowned champions ZSC Lions, and defenseman Andrea Glauser and forwards Ken Jäger and Damien Riat from Lausanne HC. Théo Rochette was also nominated, but had to withdraw due to injury.
Defender Rodwin Dionicio and forwards Thierry Bader, Luca Fazzini, Marco Lehmann, Marc Marchon, and Mischa Ramel are no longer in the squad.
As part of the Betano Hockey Games, the Swiss national team will face Sweden on May 1 in the SWISS Arena in Kloten. The game will mark a special moment: it will be Andres Ambühl's 341st international game - and also his last on Swiss ice. The following day, the national team will travel to Brno (Czechia), where the two other games of the Betano Hockey Games are scheduled on Saturday (against Finland) and on Sunday (against the host Czechia).
