As Lausanne HC informs, they will have to make do without Erik Brännström for six to eight weeks. A shoulder injury suffered in Wednesday night's derby against Genève-Servette HC is keeping the defenseman sidelined. So far this autumn, he has collected the second-most points on the team, with five in seven games.
Brännström is the newest chapter in the Lions' import injury woes, besides Austin Czarnik, Antti Suomela, and Colin Miller.
Suomela, for his part, will be able to make his comeback (and season debut) tonight when Lausanne hosts EHC Biel.
