The good news for HC Fribourg-Gottéron is that Sandro Schmid and Andrea Glauser were able to return to the ice at the beginning of the on-ice preparation. Both players suffered a knee injury during the past season and still need some time before being able to return to game action.

Schmid hopes to be in the lineup for the start of the season: “I hope so. But it's very difficult to estimate when I'll be able to take the final step toward actually playing. It's impossible to predict.” For his part, Glauser tries to be patient: “We’re not making any big plans. I’m giving my knee the time it needs. I’m anything but a patient person, but it’s important that everything heals properly.”

On a side note, Marcus Sörensen and Ludvig Johnson did not practice on Wednesday, as they are a little banged up, but should recover soon.
