Mathias Tjärnqvist let go by Malmö, free to possibly join Biel

Mathias Tjärnqvist was an assistant for the Malmö Redhawks for two years and would have been signed for another one. However, club and coach have decided to terminate the contract.

"We have had a good conversation and found a solution", Malmö's team manager Björn Liljander is cited on the club's website. "We thank Mathias for his time with the club and wish him good luck with future assignments."

As Exoressen reported earlier this month, EHC Biel is interested in the 45-year-old's services. He would join the staff of the new head coach Martin Filander.
