Following the early termination of his contract with HC Ambrì-Piotta in early March, Canadian forward Chris DiDomenico has found a new team. The 37-year-old has signed a one-year contract with SHL newcomers IF Björklöven, where his former HC Fribourg-Gottéron teammate Lucas Wallmark will also be playing starting next season.

DiDomenico has played in Switzerland for over eleven years. The majority of the time, he was under contract with the SCL Tigers (2014-2017, 2018-2020). Thanks to his great results in Langnau, he was also able to return to North America. He also played for HC Fribourg-Gottéron (2020-2022, 2023-October 2023), SC Bern (2022-23) and HC Ambrì-Piotta (2024-2026).

DiDomenico recorded 41 points (ten goals) in 47 games for HC Ambrì-Piotta last season. It will be his first season in Sweden.
