The 30-year-old defenseman thus returns to the team he used to play for during his junior hockey days.
Ville Pokka and Kärpät Oulun have agreed to a contract valid until the end of the 2024-25 season. The defenseman has been looking for a new team ever since the end of his agreement with SC Bern last summer.
Pokka played only one season in Switzerland, joining EHC Biel in the autumn of 2023. He then joined the Bears at the end of January 2024. In a total of 34 regular-season games, he recorded ten assists.
