Niko Huuhtanen and HIFK have reached an agreement on a two-year deal. The 22-year-old thus returns to his home country after two seasons abroad, which includes the past months with EHC Biel. At the end of March, the Seeländer announced that Huuhtanen would not return in the upcoming season.
