The 33-year-old forward has signed a two-year contract with the Liiga team, valid until the end of the 2027-28 season.

The ZSC Lions confirmed the departure of Johan Sundström in April. The forward joined the National League team at the beginning of January. At the time, Vaasan was looking to offload some of their players as they were last in the league.
Sundström appeared in nine regular-season games for the ZSC Lions last season, recording two goals and one assist.
