Back in March, it was announced that Valtteri Filppula would not be staying with Genève-Servette HC after the last season. According to “Helsingin Sanomat” seems as if the Finn has found a new place to play — his former team, Jokerit Helsinki.

Filppula spent part of his junior time within the organization and made his debut in men's hockey wearing their colors before heading overseas for a long career in the NHL in 2005. Three years ago, he joined the Grenats. With them, he won the National League title as well as the Champions Hockey League.
