Suspensions for Visp's Oliver Heinen and Basel's Alain Bircher

During the game between EHC Olten and EHC Basel on January 16, the guest's Alain Bircher was the active participant in a kneeing incident. Already sanctioned with a five-minute major penalty plus a misconduct, Bircher has now additionally received a two-game suspension plus a fine of CHF 950.-.

EHC Visp's Oliver Heinen, for his part, is being penalized for a hit to the head of EHC Olten's Simon Sterchi in the matchup between the two teams on January 13. He, too, has been issued a two-game suspension - one of which has already been served - plus a fine, CHF 1,400.- in his case.
