The hockey federation's sports court has decided to uphold the verdict against the forward.
Cody Almond was issued a five-game suspension for a hit to the head of HC Davos' Davyd Baradun. Lausanne HC appealed the ruling, but the sports court of the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation has confirmed the suspension.
Almond already served two of his five games, the third one will be on Saturday. The remaining two will either carry over to the semifinal or then the next season.
