According to the "Neue Zürcher Zeitung", the 27-year-old forward had to throw in the towel in the 25th minute of play.
After attempting to hit Michael Raffl late in the first period, Denis Malgin suffered a lower-body injury. He tried to play again in the second period but eventually had to give up.
According to Sven Leuenberger, team manager of the ZSC Lions, Malgin suffered a knee injury. Whether he will be available to the national team for the World Championship remains thus to be seen.
