"Nerves, tendons, ligaments, arteries: everything has been severed. His season is over," head coach Dany Gelinas tells "Le Matin". The Canadian, who only joined HC Sierre on January 9, lost his footing in the game and sustained a severe cut by a skate of an opponent.
While he got off the ice himself, he had to be brought to the hospital immediately. As Samuel Houde will not play again this season, HC Sierre is already busy looking for another import player for the playoffs. They have until February 15 to find a replacement.
