Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) is a condition characterised by an abnormally large increase in heart rate upon standing up or sitting up. Ever since his concussion, Roman Josi had been dealing with headaches, and he was afraid that his brain had been damaged through yet another concussion.

However, the checkup in Denver revealed that his brain is fine but that he is indeed suffering from POTS, which also can cause headaches, fatigue and so on. "Over the last eight weeks, I have undergone intensive therapy, which also included taking beta blockers. I've been feeling much better since then," Roman Josi tells "Blick". "I've regained the belief that I'll be 100 percent fit again and can fully attack with Nashville and the Swiss national team next winter."
