The forward suffered a medial collateral ligament tear and has to undergo surgery.
Last Saturday, HC Davos won their quarterfinal series against EV Zug, but they lost Valentin Nussbaumer. As the club announced on their social media channels today, the forward suffered a complete tear of the medial collateral ligament during the game. The injury requires surgery, which means an early end to the season for Nussbaumer.
In 55 games this season, the 25-year-old recorded twelve goals and 22 assists.
