Nino Niederreiter has been placed on injured reserve

As Nino Niederreiter's agent André Rufener tells MySports, Niederreiter had to undergo a knee arthroscopy and will miss the remainder of the NHL's regular season. Ruefer also said that if everything goes according to plan, he should be healthy again by the time of the World Championship. 

Niederreiter had been dealing with knee problems for the entire season, as he told journalist Klaus Zaugg during the Olympics. It remains to be seen when he will be back in the lineup. In 55 games, he recorded eight goals and eleven assists for the Jets.
