Six to eight weeks of absence for HC Lugano's Niklas Schlegel

After making a save on a shot and trying to position himself again, Niklas Schlegel appeared to experience heavy discomfort. Replaced shortly thereafter by backup Thibault Fatton, HC Lugano's netminder did not return to the game. Today, Schlegel underwent medical exams. As his club announced, he will be sidelined for six to eight weeks due to an adductor injury.

Fellow netminder Davide Fadini will also be out for the same time frame. In his case, he suffered a strain in his right knee in combination with a meniscus rupture. This happened last Saturday when suiting up for the HCB Ticino Rockets.
