According to the "Journal du Jura", the forward took a puck to his hand earlier this week and was not able to practice yesterday.
As Thomas Zamboni reveals, Jérôme Bachofner will have to undergo further medical exams to determine whether it is only a contusion or whether he has broken something in his hand.
The player himself is, however, optimistic. "It is swollen, but it is nothing serious and should be fine," Bachofner tells "Blick" in an interview. EHC Biel will start their playoff quarterfinal series against the ZSC Lions tonight at 20:00.
