According to the "Südostschweiz", the goaltender left the game against the ZSC Lions in the 42nd minute of play.
Ivars Punnenovs did not return to the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers after the incident. It remains to be seen whether he suffered an injury that will keep him out of the Lakers' lineup.
As for the rest of the Lakers' infirmary, Luca Capaul and Marco Dufner should soon be able to make their comeback. Whether or not Julius Honka will be able to return in December is not yet clear.
