Connor Hughes suffered a lower-body injury in a game against the Abbotsford Canucks on April 6. The length of his absence also means that he will definitely miss the start of the playoffs.
Hughes has appeared in 29 games for the Laval Rocket this season, posting a .905 save percentage. It is his first season playing in the Montréal Canadiens' organization.
