MEDICAL REPORT - As Cyrill Pasche reports via Twitter, ZSC Lions' forward Dan Fritsche has suffered a broken nose after a hit by GSHC's Alexandre Picard in last night's semifinal game. Fritsche was able to return and finish the game, though.

NLB - EHC Basel Sharks' defenseman Kim Scheidegger has decided to end his career as a professional ice hockey player despite a valid contract with the Sharks until 2015. Scheidegger only appeared in 31 games this season due to injuries.

NLB - SC Langenthal have signed youngsters Mike Küng and Anton Ranov to one-year contracts. Defenseman Küng joins SCL from the youth organisation of EV Zug and center Ranov from HC Davos, where he could also play some games with HCD's NLA team this season.
