NLA - Sad news for Swiss hockey. Former EV Zug and Rapperswil-Jona Lakers forward Duri Camichel has died in a fatal car accident in Peru. The 32-year-old was accompanied by fitness coach Harry Andereggen who also lost his life.

NLB - HC Red Ice has signed Russian defenseman Mikhail Flyagin until the end of the 2016-17 season. Flyagin, who is in possession of a Swiss-license, has recently played for Chelmet Chelyabinsk in Russia's VHL.
