Head coach Gian-Marco Crameri had nominated only players from the Swiss league for the three-day training camp in Romanshorn. Thus Florence Schelling (Sweden), Lara Stalder and Phoebe Stanz (both play in the US) were not on the roster.
The Swiss ladies did everything right against the Austrian selection - except one thing: They did not score any goals despite at times playing very dominantly. The two goals of the game were scored by ZSC Lions' import Eva Beiter-Schwärzler and the American Hillary Crowe, who scored into the empty net 33 seconds before the end.
The next point on the calendar for the Swiss team is the "Halloween Cup", the five-nation tournament that will be held in Hodonin, CZE between November 2 and 8. The opponents are Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Germany and Russia. (dmo/lcu)
