As Klaus Zaugg reports on "Watson", Edgar Salis has now decided that the club will not hire another former NHL coach but that they will go with a European. According to sources out of Finland, it might be Erkka Westerlund.
Westerlund is currently at the end of his contract with KHL team Jokerit Helsinki. The long-time head coach of the Finnish national team (2003-2007 and 2013-14) spent the last two seasons with Jokerit.
As Zaugg writes further (quoting Finnish sources), the decision about the head coaching position will be made over the course of the next two weeks. (mso)
