Will Gil Montandon be René Matte's successor in Fribourg?

RUMOR - René Matte's time as an assistant coach for HC Fribourg-Gottéron will be over at the end of this season. A successor has yet to be appointed by the club, but, according to Stéphane Rochette, Gil Montandon might take over.

Rochette, the former NLA referee, suggested in the La Télé series 'Les Puckalistes' that Gil Montandon will be the man next to Gerd Zenhäusern in the upcoming season.

Montandon is currently the head coach of first league team Université Neuchâtel and has a long history with the Dragons, as he played for them for 14 seasons. His name had already come up in the discussions following Hans Kossmann's dismissal. (mso)
