RUMOR - As "24 heures" reports, Lausanne HC is looking for another import for the final stages of the season. One name in the mix is ex-HCFG and SCB forward Simon Gamache.

For the crucial games this weekend against 7th placed SC Bern and 10th placed EVZ, Lausanne HC does not know yet if they will be able to count on the services of Colby Genoway again. The Canadian sustained an upper body injury last weekend and yesterday’s MRI did not reveal any conclusive new information and nothing to reassure an imminent comeback. “His case will be evaluated day-by-day”, team manager Jan Alston tells "24 heures".

But according to the newspaper, LHC will not just stand by as rumor circulated in Fribourg last night that their former forward, Simon Gamache, might be headed in direction of Lausanne.

Gamache is currently playing with Adler Mannheim in the German league DEL. His addition could help Lausanne increase their chances of making the playoffs with the former Dragon joining LHC’s productive trio of Bang, Hytönen and Setzinger for the time being.
