Lugano's Michael Flückiger as a valid alternative for Ambrì-Piotta?

As "Ticinonews" reports, Ambrì-Piotta is still waiting on word from their goalie Nolan Schaefer if he will stay with the Leventinesi or not. "Our staff will be more or less completed by the end of the Olympic break," Ambrì's coach and team manager Serge Pelletier promises.

However, will this "more or less" also include the contract-extension of Nolan Schaefer? If not, Pelletier is looking at alternatives, for example HC Lugano's Michael Flückiger: "Flückiger is certainly interesting, he has demonstrated that in the past," Pelletier says towards "Ticinonews". "However, we must first clarify the situation with Nolan Schaefer, if he stays or not. Once we have all the answers, we can take a new direction."

Thanks to his good performances as a replacement for Kloten's Martin Gerber, Michael Flückiger certainly gave his career in the National League A a new twist after having a difficult time when he was suffering from physical problems earlier this season.
