Rumor

RUMOR - According to La Liberté, HC Fribourg-Gottéron is indeed trying to move Jeff Tambellini to HC Bolzano. Furthermore, they are looking to sign a player from the KHL, a league that has money issues at the moment.

Tambellini denied last night after the game against EV Zug that he was going anywhere, as he seems to have a no-movement clause in his contract. However, still according to the same source, if the Dragons can find a solution, they might loan the 30-year-old forward to the Italian team, which is interested in the Canadian, for the remainder of the season after the Spengler Cup.

If the deal gets done, Gerd Zenhäusern with the help of Slava Bykov and Ivano Zanatta, who both know the KHL well, will try to find a new import-player from the KHL. Due to the Ruble losing a lot of worth, some foreign-born players are looking to get out of the KHL, as they get paid in Ruble and not in Euros/US Dollars, if they get paid at all.
