As no other NHL-team has claimed Yannick Weber off waivers within the 24-hour window, the 27-year-old Swiss defender will now have to report to the Vancouver Canucks' AHL-affiliate, the Utica Comets.

Weber, who has been a healthy scratch since January 14, joined the Vancouver Canucks from the Montreal Canadiens in 2013 and appeared in a total of 155 games for them since then, putting up 17 goals and 14 assists.
Last summer, the Canucks had re-signed Yannick Weber to a one-year, one-way contract worth $ 1.5 million. (rlu)
