Moser, who was called up from the Predators’ AHL affiliate in Milwaukee due to an injury of Nick Spaling, had quite the travel issue coming to St. Louis. His flight from Des Moines (Iowa) was cancelled, so Nashville got the rookie a car and driver to take him close to five hours to make his NHL debut.

Simon Moser on his debut: “I wasn’t so nervous. I was more excited” - “The first few shifts I was a little nervous, but then I didn’t feel nervous at all.

Furthermore, the 24yr-old native of Bern noticed a big difference in NHL play compared with the AHL play: “The speed of the game,” he said. “You have less time to make decisions, and they played hard with the body and finish every check. I liked it.

The Predators will have a a small break now before their game on Thursday night in Minnesota, and will finally face the Anaheim Ducks next Saturday night at home before the Olympic break.
