NHL

mt_ignoreThe Minnesota Wild's Zach Parise suffered a knee-injury in his first shift of last night's game against the Nashville Predators. With other players being injured, this might be Christoph Bertschy's chance to get called up.

As Michael Russo of the Star Tribune writes, the Minnesota Wild are in trouble due to a rather long injury-list: Zach Parise, Tyler Graovac, and Justin Fontaine in Minnesota, as well as Grayson Downing, Marc Hagel, Zac Dalpe, and Michael Keranen in Iowa are all out. The chance for Christoph Bertschy?

Still according to Russo, Bertschy could be the guy for the Minnesota Wild now, as he is "skilled and apparently playing well" in a team in Iowa that is not playing at its best with only 17 goals in twelve games so far. (tme)

UPDATE As sources tell the Star Tribune, Christoph Bertschy will indeed get recalled from the Iowa Wild and would thus make his NHL debut this weekend. The official announcement is expected for tomorrow morning (afternoon in CET time). - 06 November 2015, 10:22 PM
