Cody Almond placed on waivers by Minnesota - will he return to GSHC?

There is still a possibility for Almond to land on another NHL team if he gets claimed in the upcoming 24 hours by another club, willing to take on his one-way contract.

Should the 24-year-old clear waivers, he will not necessarily report to the Wild's AHL affiliate in Iowa. The forward has a clause in his contract, allowing him to return to Genève-Servette HC instead, where he had signed a new five-year deal just last June.
