Colorado Avalanche assign Reto Berra to the AHL for conditioning

Two days after he returned to practice having recovered from an ankle injury, the Colorado Avalanche have assigned goaltender Reto Berra to their AHL affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage, for a conditioning stint.

The 29-year-old injured his ankle in the end of December. His recovery, however, took longer than initially expected. Now, Berra will have the chance to get back into the rhythm in San Antonio, as head coach Patrick Roy already speculated on Tuesday. (bsc)
